According to Yawe, at one point the two crooners used to drink from the same pot.

"Bebe Cool is Bobi Wine's friend and that's why he talks about him a lot. It's Bobi Wine who hasn't talked about Bebe Cool in a while," said Yawe in a recent media interview.

"Bobi Wine should look for Bebe Cool and say hi; they're friends. Someone has given you attention. Meet and say hi."

Yawe said that he has known Bebe Cool for a while and they met when they were still in school.

He said Bobi Wine used to cook for them (he and Cool) tea after rehearsing in a band that he (Yawe) had started. It used to be called Dimension 2000 and Cool was a member.

"Bobi Wine used to cook for us tea," said Yawe.

He said it's Bobi Wine and Bebe Cool that encouraged him to start Dream Studios in Kamwokya.

Wine and Cool have longstanding beef despite having worked together at some point. For instance, Jose Chameleone became a star before both of them and because of some of his stunts that annoyed them, they collaborated on Funtula to get back at him. The song, which became a major hit, was produced by Tony Houls at Dream Studios.

However, Cool later reunited with Chameleone and started beefing with Wine. They've even released diss songs against each other. Things got worse when politics came in, with Bebe Cool leaning toward the ruling NRM government and Bobi Wine deciding to start an opposition political party.
