Chameleone said that he was surprised that Wine was among the people that tried to poke fun at him after his stage collapsed.

"When my stage collapsed, I saw friends who came around,” Chameleone said in a media interview. “People said a lot of things, but I didn't respond, but I saw what they said.”

The Badilisha hitmaker recalled the time Wine was left injured after the ruckus with security agencies in Arua.

Chameleone said he was among those that visited him at Nsambya Hospital despite them not being close at the time.

He also claimed that it wasn’t a political move because at the time he hadn’t asked him for the NUP card. Chameleone showed interest in the Kampala mayoral race in the 2021 elections.

"When he was beaten in Arua, I didn't have any relationship with him at that time. And I don't want us to politicise this because then I hadn't asked him for a party card,” he said.

"But knowing our history and how he struggled in the music industry together, I was mandated to go to Nsambya... And when I reached there, I cried. I knew he had punched above his weight.”

He added: "I won't blame him, but I will be frank with him, we have to remove ego from some of these things. There is what they call compassion. With or without him, I had to hold my show.

"And I'm not complaining... if you ever ask him, he will tell you why he wasn't able to come… I'm just reminding him because what is he going to do to me?... when he got problems, we were concerned... Even Pallaso visited him because of that. Even my father.”

The Chameleone saying this is the same who recently promised Wine heaven on earth recently.
