Luzinda touched down at Entebbe International Airport on Wednesday, August 2. She traveled with her daughter Michelle Kaddu.
The singer says she’s here to take some rest from work. She’s also expected to attend this weekend’s Phaneroo crusade at Kololo.
“I have come to rest a bit….this is home and also my girl is on holiday,” she said.
At the airport, the artist, who also dabbles as a health worker in the US, appeared surprised when she was met by a gaggle of waiting journalists.
The pressmen asked Luzinda for her take on a range of topical issues in Uganda.
Regarding the impending music battle between top female artists Cindy Sanyu and Sheebah Karungi, Luzinda described this as a “money-making event.”
“It is an opportunity to make money and I support them to go make the money,” she said.
The “Ekitone” singer, however, cautioned the two ladies against taking their fight too far.
“Just go get the money but do not fall out. That is the most important thing. Everything can fall apart but friendship is a very big thing and it should not be lost,” she said.
Luzinda was also asked about her teenage daughter Michelle and her alleged relationship with Jose Chameleone’s son Abbah Marcus.
The two teens made news in September last year when a photo of them kissing went viral.

Luzinda however, told the press that the two are merely friends.
“We live in a society where male and female can be friends; we should embrace it and shouldn't have to make up words; it is unnecessary,” she said.
“Besides, they are kids and we should be protecting them as adults.”
From the US, Luzinda and her daughter had a stopover in Dubai where they had quality time together
