The event, celebrating Edina's upcoming marriage to architect Albert Bagabe, drew notable figures from the government.
Deputy Speaker Thomas Tayebwa, Mawogola North Member of Parliament Shartsi K. Musherure, and her sister Charlotte Nankunda Kainerugaba, wife of Chief of Defence Forces Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, were among the distinguished guests.
From the event, Musherure posted on X: "Over the weekend, my family joined my parliamentary colleague, Hon. Katusiime Annet Mugisha, and her husband @NWSCMD at the giveaway ceremony of their daughter Edna. I wish them the very best of everything in their marriage."
The deputy speaker's senior press secretary, Alex Esagala, also posted: "Deputy Speaker @Thomas_Tayebwa has this evening graced the Kuhingira of Ms. Edina Ainomugisha and Mr. Albert Bagabe in Bushenyi District. Edina is the daughter of Dr. Eng. Silver Mugisha, MD of the National Water (NWSC), and Hon. Annet Katusiime Mugisha, Woman MP for Bushenyi."

Katusiime Annet Mugisha, the mother of Edina Ainomugisha, is the Woman Member of Parliament for Bushenyi District, so it's not surprising that politicians attended in large numbers.
Prior to the Kuhingira, which was held over the weekend, the couple Albert Bagabe and Edina Ainomugisha paid a courtesy visit to General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, Chief of Defence Forces, at the Special Forces Command Headquarters in Entebbe.
