Kanyomozi was initially the third vice president of the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) but failed to commit to the role’s obligations because she had to take care of her young son.
Kenzo, who is the Federation’s president, noted that Diana was very active, so he decided to switch roles.
At the time, Diana was on the finance committee, which is headed by Bebe Cool, real name Moses Ssali.
“Because she was very active and Juliana had a kid. Most of the time Juliana wouldn't come because she had no maid. The maid had got some challenges,” said Kenzo while speaking to Galaxy FM.
"So we talked to Julaina and requested her to join the finance committee because the role of vice president needed someone who is always present.”
Kenzo said he held a meeting with both Spice Diana and Juliana Kanyomozi and they agreed to the changes. Diana recently announced that she had quit the federation days after she was embarrassed in a live radio interview by Alien Skin who quizzed her about the musician body’s activities and she couldn’t articulate them.
The Federation was formed in May under the patronage of Gen. Salim Saleh and Esther Akampumuza, the owner of A'lure Hotel & Suites Mutundwe where most of its activities are conducted.
The UNMF’s organizational structure consists of a General Assembly of members, a Leadership team, Committees focusing on various aspects of the industry, Regional Representatives, a Secretariat, and a Board of Trustees featuring representatives from OWC, UNCC, and NCF.
The Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) is a collaborative effort of musicians, industry stakeholders, and the Ugandan government, aimed at unifying the music industry in Uganda. The Federation brings together all associations in the industry under one umbrella, promoting growth, collaboration, and unity among musicians and stakeholders.
