At that age, usually, kids also see that in them.

But as their exposure to the world expands, kids' aspirations usually keep changing.

For instance, at one point, Natasha Museveni Karugire, who went to Mt. St. Mary's College Namagunga, wanted to become a nun, then a missionary, then a lawyer.

In 1998, Natasha graduated from the American College in London with a bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design and Marketing.

While she still owns a fashion house, Natasha has continued to try new things. Now she even owns a film-making company.

So, below are some of the could-have-been engineers that chose to earn a living in the entertainment industry.

At the end of the day, it's always about the money. At least, that's what parents are usually after; knowing that their kid's future is set!

But what's more amazing than making serious bank from your passion?

St. Mary's College Kisubi

From SMACK, there's Deejay Bugy, real name Pius Buguzi, one of the highly sought-after disco jockeys. He plays in clubs, radio stations, events, and so on.

DJ Alza is also a Smackist. The dreadlocked entertainer has mixed music for almost all the top hangouts in town. 

DJ LB: If you are rugby fun or have attended the Smack league, you've definitely danced to his mixes.

Tucker HD: Born Tucker Eric Kibirige, he is one of the longstanding rappers in the Ugandan music industry.

Roger Mugisha: Mugisha, now a programs director at Sanyu F.M., has been in the entertainment industry for over two decades, as a radio host, actor, and events host. 

He is a two-time Mr. SMACK and he had a national hit on the airwaves while in S.5.

He is the first SMACK Old Boy to present on an F.M. radio station.

Cedric Babu is the chief executive officer at Kinetic Events Management, a sports and entertainment event management company. He has also worked as a T.V. host and actor and was behind the production of Beneath The Lies, the T.V. series that aired on Ubran Television.

Ntare School

Mr. Henrie: Born Henry Arinaitwe, he works with Galaxy F.M/T.V. He is an events host, voice-over artiste, and emcee. 

Toniks: Born Allan Ampaire, he is a singer, songwriter, guitarist and record producer.

D.J. Nyowe: Apart from playing at events, he deejays at KIIS F.M. and Capital F.M.

Ambroy: Popular for his song 'I Want to Party’ [I need Ogu Loan], Ambroy is a Lion.

Makerere College School

Joshua Baraka: He is a songwriter, producer, instrumentalist and musician.

Bebe Cool: He needs no introduction.

D.J. KasBaby: Born David Kassami, he has entertained partygoers at top clubs in town and revelers at some of the biggest events.

Timothy CODE: Born Timothy Muhumuza, he is a singer and radio and T.V. host.

Sheilah Gashumba: Needs no introduction.

Crystal Newman: Newman, formerly at Sanyu F.M. and now at R.X. Radio, is also one of the top corporate emcees in town.

Namagunga

Natasha Museveni: She is the co-founder of Isaiah60 Productions, which produced 27 Guns, a movie about the Bush War that brought her father, President Yoweri Museveni, to power.

She is also the owner of J&Kainembabazi, a fashion brand that was originally called House of Kaine (from her name Kainembabazi). It was started in 1998. 

Buddo

James Onen: Formerly at Sanyu F.M., Onen, alias Fatboy – is now the owner of R.X. Radio.

DJ Ssesse: Born Edgar Kebba, he is one of the highly sought-after deejays in town.

DJ Brian: Born Brian Kiyingi Sserunkuuma, he has mixed music for top events and media brands, including N.T.V.

Manuela Pacutho Mulondo is a Budonian. She is an influencer, T.V. host and content creator.

Daphne Ampire: She's been in a number of T.V. series and movies, including 27 Guns, Bed of Thorns and Sanyu.

Tracy Kababito: Former T.V. host, Kababito is a content creator and actress.

Namilyango College

Alan Kasujja: Now a broadcaster at B.B.C. News, Kasujja previously worked at Sanyu, Capital and N.T.V among other media houses.

St. Henry's College Kitovu

Eddie Yawe: Needs no introduction.

Denis Mugagga: He is one of the Ganda Boys, formerly DaTwins.

Ragga Dee: Daniel Kazibwe needs no introduction.

Quex: The Kachumbali hitmaker, who is a medical doctor by profession, is a Shackist. His real name is George Kwesiga.

Dre Cali: Born Andrew Katende, he is a singer and songwriter.

Greenhill Academy

Rabadaba: Born Faisal Sseguya, the Bwekiri hitmaker went to Greenhill.

Timothy CODE: He also went to Makerere College School.

Seeta High School

Eleanor Nabwiso: Eleanor Vaal Nansibo Nabwiso is an actress, movie producer and director.

DJ Cross256: If you've been to Panamera Bar & Restaurant or Kings Park Arena, then you've jammed to his mixes.

St. Mary's S.S.S. Kitende

Beenie Gunter: Born Crescent Baguma, he is a reggae dancehall artist, commonly known for his hit songs Pon Mi and Olina Work.

Benezeri: He retired from music in 2017 after getting a job at Uganda Revenue Authority (U.R.A.).

Flex D' Paper: Born Alex Julius Kwesigabo, he is a rapper and songwriter.

Daxx Vibes: Born Ivan Bugembe Sentamu, he is a singer, songwriter, and recording artist.

Lubiri S.S.

Genius Levy: Allan Buyinza is a songwriter and musician who sings reggae and dancehall music.
