The singer went completely silent as journalists tried fruitlessly to get her to say something about the federation led by her ex-partner Eddy Kenzo.
“Why aren't you in the federation?” one of the reporters asked.
The ‘Ngonze’ singer went silent, only smiling sheepishly at the cameras.
At the press conference, Rema was with her friend Evelyn Namulondo and the boy-band B2C members, speaking about the upcoming, “The Best of Evelyn Namulondo Concert.”

As the journalists prodded further, Rema handed the microphone to Bobby Lash, one of the B2C trio to respond on her behalf.
“The Federation issues have not been well explained to her,” said Lash in response.
“But by the time we leave this place, I will explain it to her and the next time you meet her, she will tell you she’s joined the federation. When her time comes, she will tell you.”
Dissatisfied with the response, the reporters demanded that Rema speak out herself, but she went mute.
Feeling defeated, the journalists then turned to ask her about rumours that she is pregnant.
“We’ve heard reports from your friends that you are craving green mangoes, is it true?” asked one reporter, to which the singer stared back in silence.
Since splitting up with Kenzo four years ago to be with her husband Dr Hamza Senbunya, Rema has been keen on keeping away from the media.
Yesterday, however, she said she needed to show up for her dear friend Namulondo, whose concert is slated for August 3, at Theatre Labonita.
Namulondo revealed last week that Rema and her husband had injected up to Shs5 million to help her organise the show.
