During a recent appearance on Bukedde TV, Namulondo was frank.
Interviewer: "There are those who say you're Rema's Kadama [housegirl], how does it make you feel?"
Namulondo: "Uh, it's okay... who doesn't want to be Rema's Kadama? Do you know who Rema is? TSK-TSK; shiiyaa! Do you understand Rema?
"Rema is a high-value individual. But I let people talk about whatever they feel. Like I told you, you can say anything but you can't change me, as long as there's want I'm aiming at."
Commenters on the video seemed to like her response.
One said: "A true difinition of a best friend God bless you wamma."
Said another: "What I know people don't know what a friend is ?Go on Eva."
But this one appeared to think otherwise: "even if you talk and what we know ur kadama wa rema."
Asked how they've been able to maintain their friendship this long, Namulondo said: "Trusting each other and respecting each other. And loving each other. Yes."
Rema and Namulondo have known each other since the former was still under Bebe Cool’s record label Gagamel Crew. In 2013, the Sili Muyembe singer unceremoniously left the label for a solo career. She left Gagamel when during the period she was dating Eddy Kenzo who also played a huge role in uplifting her music career. Her relationship with Kenzo lasted about six years.
Last week Namulondo was seen hanging out with the Sitya Loss singer, prompting some netizens to question her loyalty. But Namulondo said she looks at Rema and Kenzo as sister and brother respectively.
