The singer, on Friday morning, took to the airwaves of CBS radio in Bulange Mengo to deliver the Luganda morning news.

She was joined in the studio by former NTV Uganda news anchor Faridah Nakazibwe to flawlessly read the 9:00am Luganda bulletin on the sister station 89.2FM, Emmanduso Radio.

On CBS’s 88.8 channel, the morning news bulletin was delivered by former Minister and current Kayuga District Woman MP Hon Aidha Erios Nantaba who was joined by Hon Hon Juliet Kakande, the Masaka City representative.

The quartet seamlessly delivered the news in turns, taking breaks in between the stories to sip on coffee.

For Juliana and Nakazibwe job was evidently much smoother given their previous on-air experience.

Juliana worked on the English Channel, Capital Fm for 6 years in the 200s. She joined the station right after High School, and her first two months' assignment was reading the English news. She went on to host a number of other programs including the Late Date.

Faridah is also a Luganda news expert, with decades of experience from WBS TV and NTV Uganda.

The female MPs on the other hand performed relatively well with intermittent assistance from the news producers.

It is common tradition for Ugandan electronic media houses during the International Women's Day, to relinquish studios to female presenters, with daylong female-centered programming and female artist music playing exclusively.
