Rivalring musicians Alien Skin and Pallaso are poised to put their bickering behind them.
The two have reportedly participated in their first reconciliatory engagement following last week’s violent clashes.
The meeting was facilitated by NRM Deputy Chairman and former minister, Capt Mike Mukula at his residence in Bugolobi.
Mukula said he met the two musicians in his capacity as the patron of the Uganda Musicians Association.
He said he met the duo separately, first with Alien Skin and later with Pallaso, who was accompanied by his parents.
Mukula shared photos from the meeting, which however, did not incude Pallaso.
He said the meeting produced postive results.
“I am delighted to say that we are making progress,” added Mukula.
Police take action
The development came hours after the Uganda Police announced stern measures to prevent a repeat of violence by musicians
Going forward, the police announced on Monday, that singers and other entertainers will not be allowed to be in the company of more than 5 people in public.
Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesman Patrick announced on Monday, “As Kampala Metropolitan and the joint security team, we do not want to see any artist moving with a group of youth hooligans trying to cause havoc,” he said.
“We have resolved that musicians will be allowed to move with a team of a few selected people. They are not supposed to move with more than five people.”
“The rest if caught, will be arrested and you will be asked to sort out who is who,” added Onyango.
