One of the artistes she worked with was Jose Chameleone. She backed up Chameleone as he recorded Tondeka Ngawo. Hanson Baliruno features on the groovy song.

The song was recorded at Sabula Records Studio, which is run by Diggy Baur.

Unfortunately, that night when she returned home, her boyfriend beat her up. Jowy Landa, real name Joanita Namugerwa, had left her mother's house to stay with her boyfriend in order to kickstart her music career.

The boyfriend turned out to be possessive. They broke up that night and she slept at a friend's house, according to her interview with Galaxy TV.

It's Pallaso who had scouted her to introduce her to a record label called Bango Entertainment. After the fight with the boyfriend, the owner of the record label got her living space in his house.

She left Bango Management after Pallaso fell out with the owner and he also got signed by Kama Ivan. This left her with no other option but to go back to her mother's house.

She had only one hit song titled African Girl and most of the songs she had recorded hadn't been released and she wasn't getting good gigs.

While at home, she started talking to different music managers, including Paul Owor who made empty promises until Francis Kamoga, who at the time was also managing Fresh Kid and they resumed recording music.

Unfortunately, none of the songs they recorded became hits and she would soon be sold to Sure Events for about 15 million as a replacement for Nina Roz.

She left Sure after they stopped paying her rent and they're not progressing musically. That's when she started talking to DJ Roja who also couldn't work with her immediately because the contract she had signed under Sure couldn't release her and they refused to terminate it.

Jowy Landa is now under manager of Jeff Kiwanuka and DJ Roja.
