"The best... Let me start with the best... my friend Sheebah," said Kabako, real name Yusufu Ssenabulya.

"The second position... let me give it to Eddy Kenzo."

He gave the third position to David Lutalo. King Saha came in fourth position. He put himself in the fifth position.

Karungi is the only musician that seems to appear in every list where musicians are ranked.

For instance, Jajja Kalevu Ichuli named her number five when he was ranking musicians recently.

Ichuli, real name Ibrahim Tusubira, said Eddy Kenzo deserved the leading position before changing it to David Lutalo.

He named King Saha as number two and Pallaso as number three.

When Nimrod Nabeeta, alias D.J. Nimrod, was recently asked to name the top female artistes, he put Rema Namakula and Winnie Nwagi at the top.

He said they are followed by Sheebah Karungi and Spice Diana.

Kabako and Sheebah Karungi were formerly under the management of Team No Sleep (TNS), which is run by Jeff Kiwa. Kabako, who quit TNS in 2022, joined the mainstream music industry in 2007. Sheebah left TNS in 2021.

One of Kabako’s first hits was with the late AK47 titled Diana. But it was when he joined TNS in 2016 that things really took off.

Some of his biggest hits include Number Emu, Akasolo, Bitangaza, Sabisura, Muggule Amabaala, Zzina and Bano Bano.
