Singer Naira Ali has named three artistes whose music she enjoyed in 2024: Joshua Baraka, Dax Vibez, and Elijah Kitaka.
"Thank you for making my 2024 musically worthwhile," she shared in a Facebook post.
Joshua Baraka
Starting with Baraka, he has been busy with multiple projects this year, including a seven-track album titled Recess, several collaborations with international artistes, and performances in various countries, including London, UK.
Music critic James Propa, while appearing on Sanyuka TV, listed him among the contenders for "Man of the Year" for his contributions to promoting Ugandan music globally.
Elijah Kitaka
Elijah Kitaka has also had an impressive year, releasing Dawa, one of the biggest club hits of 2024. In addition to this, he has dropped several well-received singles and duets. Kitaka is gaining recognition as a cultural icon, thanks to his eccentric and distinctive fashion sense.
Dax Vibez
As for Dax Vibez, he has released a number of hit singles, with Tabbu standing out as his biggest song of the year. The duet with Ava Peace, produced by Nessim, has garnered 1.5 million views on YouTube in less than a month.
The song’s success earned the duo a performance slot at a recent show headlined by Jamaican dancehall star Dexta Daps at Lugogo Cricket Oval in Kampala.
It’s worth noting that Naira Ali also released an eight-track album titled Love, featuring tracks like Ontwale, Bbiri, Ebizubu, Drunk, and Olugendo.
