A rising star with a diverse background
Lynda Ddane, whose full name is Ddane Uwamahoro, was born on October 25, 1994 in Nsambya, Kampala. Of Rwandan descent, she attended schools in various countries, completing her P7 at Kabojja Junior School before joining Nabisunsa Girls’ School and later Makerere University.
Her media career has spanned several outlets, including Urban TV, KFM, Radio City, UBC TV, and NTV Uganda. While she began as a television and radio host, she has also ventured into deejaying.
Reports suggest that Ddane left UBC TV, where she co-hosted an entertainment show with Calvin the Entertainer, citing low pay as the reason. During her hiatus from television, she focused on creating humorous skits, which quickly gained her online fame.
Ddane later joined NTV the Beat, taking over from Tracy Kababiito, who reportedly stepped down to focus on her studies at Uganda Christian University. Kababiito has since gone on to establish herself as a film star.
Ddane's recent foray into music has added another dimension to her already versatile career, leaving fans eager to see what she will do next.
