Origins

The group, whose name means "Friends" in Swahili, was formed after the members met around seven years ago. Their journey began in earnest when they connected with renowned producer Steve Jean in 2021.

Initially a quartet, Warafiki became a trio after one member departed due to personal reasons. Since then, the group has undergone extensive training in vocals and stage presence under the guidance of Jean, a key figure in the Ugandan music industry known for his work with iconic groups like Blu*3.

Warafiki's debut single "Bwekati," released in December 2023, marked their entry into the industry, showcasing their Afro-pop style. The song, produced by Steve Jean alongside Legend P and Joel Keys, received positive reviews for its catchy melody and polished production.

Following this, the group continued to make waves with their energetic live performances, including notable appearances at the Ray G concert, Lydia Jazmine's show, and the Rugby finals at Kings Park Arena.

Despite having a relatively small discography, Warafiki's impact has been significant. Their ability to captivate audiences with both their music and choreography has earned them a dedicated fan base. As they prepare to release "No Money No Love," fans and industry insiders alike are eager to see how the group will continue to evolve and make their mark in the music world
