The pageant opened with a cultural parade by contestants from Latin American countries who dazzled the audience with their traditional costumes and vibrant performances.

They were followed by participants from 22 African nations, who captivated the audience with their cultural attire and dances.

Natasha's costume

Ms Nyonyozi walked in rocking an eye-catching costume inspired by Uganda’s national bird, the crested crane.

The costume featured a fitted corset-style top adorned with bright red, yellow, black and orange elements, resembling the plumage of the crane, with wings, a dramatic flowing train in bright green, and a headdress mirroring the vibrant and feathered theme.

Nyonyozi will be hoping to match or outperform last year’s Miss World Uganda, Hannah Karema, who came very close to clinching the Miss World Africa title at the grand finale of the pageant.

Karema made it to the top eight queens at the global pageant, leading the African continent along with Miss Botswana, Lesego Chombo.

Beauty with a purpose

Nyonyozi, in her introductory message, described herself as a business owner, an autism advocate and a proud graduate with honours in a bachelor's degree in Science and Finance from Coventry University

She has an autistic brother who inspires her to advocate for autism awareness and acceptance around the world. This is the “Beauty with a purpose” project she is fronting at the Miss World pageant.
