An American boxer danced to Beyonce, wore a crown to the ring, then dominated her opponent to become the fastest 3-weight champion in history

An American boxer danced to Beyonce, wore a crown to the ring, then dominated her opponent with ease on Friday.

Claressa Shields
  • That boxer is Claressa Shields, a fighter fast-developing as a top tier attraction in combat sport after beating her overmatched opponent Ivana Habazin in every minute of every round in Atlantic City.
  • Shields said before the fight that she was going to "f--- her up" and she did so with ease, punctuating her status as one of women's boxing's elite athletes.
  • The 10-round victory saw Shields win two world championships in the super welterweight division, adding to world titles previously won in middleweight and super middleweight.
  • She is now the fastest male or female boxer to win championships in three weight classes, having done so in just 10 bouts.
  • This betters the achievements of Vasily Lomachenkop and Kosei Tanaka who won three titles in different weight classes after a dozen fights.
  • After the Habazin win, Shields tweeted : Legendary Beyonce, "Who run the world Girls!"
  • She then called herself the greatest woman of all time.
