"Puttin some pocket change on@cowboycerrone who y'all got?" Bilzerian wrote in the caption of a photo he shared on Instagram, showing off the impressive wager he had placed on Cerrone.

While Bilzerian didn't specify the precise amount of cash he had placed on the underdog, internet sleuths estimated that it was somewhere around $1 million based on the size of the pile.

Bilzerian wouldn't get to enjoy his bet for long.

McGregor charged right at the opening bell, and after missing a rocket of a left hand, clinched Cerrone and beat into his nose with his shoulder. After connecting with Cerrone's jaw with an impressive kick, McGregor sent his opponent to the ground and finished him off while some fans were still chewing their first bite of popcorn.

Still, Bilzerian didn't take the loss too hard.
