Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has not held back while criticizing his team after a frustrating loss in the rain to the New England Patriots on Sunday.

Jones gave a preliminary critique of the poor result on Monday , saying that the team's failures on special teams were "100% coaching," a not-even-slightly-veiled shot at head coach Jason Garrett.

On Wednesday, just a day before the Cowboys annual Thanksgiving home game, Jones doubled-down on his criticism of Garrett during an interview with NFL Network's "Good Morning Football," with even sharper words.

"Let me tell you, no one in this country has earned the right to say 'I'm a Jason Garrett man' more than me. I am his man," Jones began. "And we want the very same thing. And that's for our players to play at their very best and we want his staff to coach at their very best."

After invoking Garrett by name, Jones offered what sounded like an ultimatum to the Dallas coach.

"The bottom line is we get graded," Jones said. "I'm in business. I don't have to win the Super Bowl in business every year. I can come in sixth and have a hell of a year. But in this case, you've got to come in first. You've got to come in first. So fundamentally, you've asked for something that's a very narrow window, to begin with. I want Jason to get it done."

As things stand, the Cowboys are 6-5 and currently hold a one-game lead over the Eagles in the NFC East. Quarterback Dak Prescott is leading the league in passing yards per game, and the defense is sixth in the league in opponents yards per game.

The pieces are there for the Cowboys, whether or Garrett puts them together remains to be seen. If he doesn't, his 10-year tenure in Dallas may be finished.
