Ugandans now have the chance to win a new Toyota RAV 4 Hybrid sports utility vehicle (SUV) along with other prizes, thanks to Airtel Mobile Commerce Uganda's latest customer rewards initiative, the Vroomula Amajja campaign. The campaign, which promotes Airtel Money, Uganda’s most affordable and secure financial service, was launched today in Kampala and will run for 13 weeks.

Airtel Money customers, agents, and businesses using Airtel Pay merchant codes can participate by performing any Airtel Money transaction. Each transaction automatically enters participants into daily, weekly, and monthly draws.

During the launch, Japhet Aritho, Managing Director of Airtel Mobile Commerce Uganda, expressed his excitement:

Today, we’re igniting a movement that will turn every transaction into an opportunity, every shilling into a stepping stone towards your dreams. I am thrilled to announce the launch of VROOMULA AMAJJA – Airtel Money's groundbreaking nationwide campaign that will redefine the landscape of cashless transactions in Uganda.

Aritho further emphasized the transformative potential of the campaign, stating, “Through VROOMULA AMAJJA, we're not just changing how Ugandans transact; we're changing lives. We're fueling dreams, powering ambitions, and driving the nation towards a cashless future where every transaction opens a world of possibilities.”

The Vroomula Amajja campaign is designed to enhance digital financial services by encouraging customers to go cashless with the promise of daily, weekly, and monthly rewards in the form of e-money deposited directly into their wallets.

Every day, 45 Ugandans will receive a cash boost in their Airtel Money wallets, assisting with school fees, small businesses, or other financial obligations. Additionally, nine Ugandans each week will win new Boda Bodas (motorbikes), providing a sustainable income source. The grand prize, a Toyota RAV 4 Hybrid, will be awarded to one lucky Ugandan, symbolizing the significant impact of embracing digital transactions.
