He emphasized the expo's importance, particularly in the context of Uganda's real estate boom, which has also brought challenges that the event aims to address. The theme for this year's expo, "Connect with the construction industry to build a better tomorrow," reflects a focus on strategic innovation and adaptation in a rapidly evolving global economy.

The expo will serve as a platform for international and domestic players to showcase cutting-edge innovations, facilitating valuable business-to-business (B2B) discussions. Honourable Judith Nabakooba, the Minister for Lands, Housing, and Urban Development, will officially open the event, highlighting the government's support for initiatives that drive growth and innovation within the industry.

Vaibhav Srivastava, the Programs Manager at FUTUREX and one of the event's organizers, expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Lands for their unwavering support since the expo's inception in 2022. He noted the construction sector's substantial contribution to Uganda's GDP, now standing at 12 per cent, and invited a wide range of professionals, including constructors, builders, engineers, architects, interior designers, dealers, distributors, and government officials, to engage with the expo's offerings.

Gonza Alozius, President of the Institution of Surveyors Uganda, emphasized the expo's role in facilitating interaction among professionals and experts. He recalled the previous expos, where stalls were set up to provide free information to the public, a feature that will continue this year. He encouraged attendees to come with questions, assuring them that knowledgeable professionals will be present to provide answers and guidance.

The Uganda Buildcon International Expo has carved out a niche as a pivotal event in the construction and real estate sectors. It offers a unique opportunity for networking, knowledge exchange, and exploring new business ventures. As the industry faces new challenges and opportunities, the expo serves as a critical platform for fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.

With strong backing from both the government and private sectors, the 3rd edition of the Uganda Buildcon International Expo promises to be a landmark event. It will not only highlight the latest trends and technologies but also provide a forum for essential discussions about the industry's future. As Uganda navigates the complexities of a growing real estate market, the insights and innovations presented at the expo will play a vital role in shaping the country's construction landscape.
