The occasion was attended by envoys to Kampala, Simon Deng (South Sudan), Ahmed Ibrahim Ahmed (Sudan), and officials from the aviation authorities of Uganda, South Sudan, and Sudan.

The move was lauded by UCAA Director for Airports and Security Haji Ayub Soma, saying that it has further deepened the cordial relations among the three countries. He also said that air transport remains the safest mode of transport in the region due to the volatility in some parts.

Ambassador Deng said that this new development will hopefully improve the movement of people and goods which is a prerequisite for growth and development.
