MTN Uganda has already demonstrated its support for the Tooro Kingdom through various initiatives. In 2019, the MTN Foundation renovated and equipped the maternity ward at Kijuura Health Center 3. They have also been a significant contributor to sports programs, promoting health, unity, and youth empowerment. These sports programs have specifically addressed HIV prevention by encouraging young people to get tested and learn about preventative measures.

King Oyo commended MTN for being a "steadfast partner" and highlighted the importance of their long-term involvement. He emphasised the value of using sports to address public health issues within the Kingdom.

The King's visit extended beyond celebrating the existing partnership. Discussions explored future collaborative opportunities. His Majesty toured the MTN call centre, expressing his appreciation for their service, and planted a tree at the MTN office campus. This tree symbolises the shared commitment to environmental sustainability between both entities.

At the core of this partnership lies a shared desire to improve the lives of Tooro residents. The initiatives supported by MTN Uganda are designed to create a lasting positive impact and a brighter future for the community. By focusing on health and sports, the partnership tackles key challenges faced by the people of Tooro, ensuring they have access to essential facilities and opportunities.
