‘Bring our son home or live to regret’ - Bruno K’s family warns Vanessa

“If you know what is best for you and your child, you need to bring that boy home so we can give him his own name,” said Brenda Nakanjako Mboowa, the elder sister of Bruno.

Brenda sounded the warning in a media interview this week, in which she revealed that she was no longer in direct contact with Vanessa.

She said she blocked her when she started secretly recording phone conversations with her and other family members and sharing them with the media.

Vanessa’s son, Seith Kiggundu, has no family name up to now, according to Brenda.

The 34-year-old sister who is also a lawyer studying and working abroad, says Vanessa has continued to deny them access to young Kiggundu

She adds many times they have tried to plead with Vanessa to allow the boy to be part of family gatherings and functions but she refused.

One time, Brenda says, she contacted Vanessa’s mother to send the boy over for a family gathering, but she told her that they were concerned about “what you might do to him over there.”

Brenda also says that they have reached out to Vanessa about giving the boy a family name but she turned this down too because her family are born-again Christians who have no care for family names.

“I heard that they named him Seth Kisa Kyamukama, but that is not our family name,” Brenda said.

“Vanessa if you are seeing this, you need to bring that boy, and look for our father to give him a name, or you will live to regret this for the rest of your life,” she warned

Brenda revealed that Bruno’s other child, Briella was brought home by her late mother for Christening and they named her after her late great-grandmother Namuli.
