Women are the Breadwinners and Men are the Homemakers
Long ago, we had was called the “kept woman”, a woman kept as a lover by a man who provides her with everything and controls her every move. Things have now changed. These days we have the Kept Man, and he is like a puppet on a string doing all the things his woman wants him to do. In urban Uganda, this is mainly because women are the ones wearing the trousers by making the money as the men live off them.
Gender roles have changed
“Biological determinism” means that males and females have a diverse and different biological makeup that influences their behavior in society. For instance, males have higher levels of testosterone and, therefore, will be more aggressive, while females have more estrogen and, therefore, will be more emotionally connected.
Also, heterosexual men subconsciously choose mates that are younger and more physically appealing while heterosexual women choose more mates who are more economically stable.
This has changed as women are proving themselves to be as aggressive as men, try crossing Bad Black and we see. And thanks to women making their own money, they tend to look for younger partners who are we physically appealing and do not have a dime to their name.
