"Your mid-mornings are now sorted," Adam Kungu, who manages the radio station, posted on X on Thursday, February 8 evening. "The radio giant is in. I welcome the great, the big, and the unmatched to 103.3 FM Radio 4."

Bina Babie, whose real name is Robina Mbabazi Mulera, was formerly at Dembe FM, which recently announced temporary closure but it seems there is little to no chance of reopening.

Its closure affected many, including renowned entertainment critics Isaac Daniel Katende, alias Kasuku, Jenkins Mukasa, and Eddie Sendi, alias Edward Sendikadiwa.

Reports indicate that at the radio station, which is owned by businessman Balaam Barugahara Ateenyi, Bina Baibe will take on the role of primary host for the mid-morning broadcast, with Tinah Nangonzi joining her as co-host.

She has a long-standing history in radio, having hosted the 'Mubeezi' mid-morning show on Dembe FM for over two decades up until recently.

Details on when Bina will begin her new role will be announced later, according to reports.

Before her tenure at Dembe FM, Bina's career in broadcasting started at the Uganda Broadcasting Corporation, known then as UTV, and Radio Uganda, where she hosted a show for teenagers. After a four-year stint, she moved to Dembe FM.

Bina Baibe revealed in a 2018 interview with a local newspaper that her initial career aspiration was to be a medical doctor, a dream she abandoned due to her aversion to dead bodies. She enrolled in medical school but left after a month, switching to accounting at Nkumba University, a field she has not pursued professionally.

She is the eldest of five siblings. Her educational journey took her from Lugogo Nursery School to Kitante Primary School, followed by Trinity College Nabbingo, and concluded with high school at St. Joseph's S.S. Naggalama.
