Proscovia Musoke, Chameleone's mother, said her son relocated his family to the US because he wanted a better life for his children.
The mother of Joseph Mayanja, alias Jose Chameleone, dismissed rumors that her son's wife, Daniella Atim, moved to the USA because she had divorced him.

"Daniella and her husband love each other. Daniella has never separated from Chameleone. That Daniella split with Chameleone! When? When Daniella was going to America, we escorted her. Chameleone bought her the house where she lives. Do you think that person divorced [her husband]? She didn't. You just like exaggerating things. Chameleone wanted his children to get a better life than here in Uganda. And they are doing well," Musoke said while speaking to journalists on Thursday.
"Those of you that have been thinking that Chameleone's wife divorced him and they are no longer working together, now you understand that they have a good relationship," she added, citing a recent picture showing Chameleone and his wife and children in the US.
Teta is coming back
Musoke also revealed the wife of her other son Weasel, Sandra Teta, is returning to Kampala soon, though she didn't clarify when.
"She is soon coming back... She went to rest," she said.
Asked why she is so sure, she added: "We communicate and she is okay. Even her parents have no problem with us. She didn't go in bad spirits. I talk to her daily. Even my grand kids."
Musoke continued: "People spread a lot of rumors and she decided to leave for a while to keep away from the noise."
Teta, who is currently in Rwanda, a few weeks ago released a video telling people poking noses in her affairs to back off, especially Daniella Atim and singer Buchaman's wife, Claire Selina Nangajja, alias Mama Ghetto who claimed she was her (Teta's) friend.
Teta is yet to break her silence on whether Weasel, with whom they have two kids, had subjected her to domestic violence over the years as has been reported in the media.
Proscovia Musoke also asked herself why Mama Ghetto got involved in her children's issues.
"How did she involve herself in Weasel and Teta issues? Doesn't she have problems at home? Was she there when everything was happening," she said.
"She is failing to handle her own issues and she is poking her nose in other people's business."
Meanwhile, Musoke said she has no problem with Daniella because her involvement shows she like the family.
