"I've tried but you know at a certain point, it starts showing..." Sanyu, who is commonly known as Cindy, said when she was asked whether she doesn't hide her pregnancy like other celebrities while speaking to the media.

"Because pregnancy is not something to announce in public... and if we could stop there."

Asked to thank her husband, Prynce Joel Okuyo Atiku, for 'doing a good job', she said: "Okuyo, I thank you for the job you're doing... I love him so much... I want him to know that I love him so much. I appreciate him for the father...he has been amazing, an inspiration to me every day. I love you."

Sanyu, real name Cinderella Sanyu Munyonjo, is the current president of the Uganda Musicians Association (UMA) -- and she got married to Prynce Joel Okuyo Atiku in December 2021.

The couple welcomed their first baby in January 2022 and she gave birth while at Prime Care Hospital.

"She’s here, God is great. Thanks to Dr. Kaliisa and all the staff at Prime Care Hospital. Can’t explain how excited we’re right now," Prynce Okuyo said about the birth of their baby girl on social media.

Born in 1985, Cindy Sanyu has a daughter named Amani Brunneti whom she gave birth to about 11 years ago while with her ex-Italian lover, Mario Brunette.

She split from him in 2014.

She began her music career in 2001 at the age of 16 years when she participated in the Capital Radio All Stars Talent Search from where she was spotted by legendary producer Steve Jean who later teamed her up with Lilian Mbabazi and Jackie Chandiru to form Blu*3.
