American singer Jason Derulo was impressed by the content created by Ugandan TikTokers Coco Must Shine and Winnie wa Mummy, the 2024 Pulse Dance Influencer of the Year, as they danced to his new song, "Make Me Happy."

Derulo, a dancer himself with 65.3 million followers on TikTok, reposted their videos, giving them a significant boost and creating a buzz for them on the video-sharing platform.

At the time of posting this story, Coco Must Shine's video had 677.8k views, while Winnie wa Mummy's video had garnered 424.9k views.

Derulo also commented on a video by Zyra Baby, saying: "I think she just showed us how to do the dance for real..." to which she responded: "I know right..." Her video has since reached 1.6 million views.

Jason Derulo, born Jason Joel Desrouleaux on September 21, 1989, is an American singer, songwriter, and dancer. Since starting his solo career in 2009, he has sold over 250 million singles globally, achieving 14 platinum singles in the US.

Derulo initially contributed to writing songs for other artists before signing with Beluga Heights, a label that later became part of Warner Music Group. His debut single, Whatcha Say, topped the US Billboard Hot 100 and went quintuple platinum.

He followed this success with hits like In My Head and Ridin' Solo, and released his debut album Jason Derulo in 2010. His subsequent albums produced chart-topping singles, including Talk Dirty and Savage Love. After parting ways with Warner Music Group, Derulo signed with Atlantic Records and released his fifth studio album Nu King in 2024, featuring popular tracks like Swalla and Take You Dancing.
