Biggie, who was speaking to Vybe Life Ug, said that what relieved the stress was the commitment of Ugandans who were still eager to attend the event and promoters like KT, Bajjo, Abitex, and Balunywa who consoled her and also came to the press conference
"I think it was the first press conference to have that many promoters,” she said. “They all came and joined efforts to ensure the success of Gwanga Mujje."
Jose Chameleone’s concert dubbed Ggwanga Mujje, which was eventually held on February 24 at Lugogo Cricket Oval in Kampala – was initially meant to be held on Feburary 10. However, the stage collapsed on the day of the event due to heavy rains. Gates had even opened.
Biggie would later reveal that she had injected in almost half a billion shillings before the collapse and she stood to incur more costs.
This was not helped by controversial figures ike Gravity Omutujju who kept on tormenting Jose Chameleone and this also transferred to the promoter.
Biggie is now the vice president of the promoters’ federation that is headed by Balaam Barugahara.
Meanwhile, Biggie is behind the staging of ‘Cease Fire’, a play that’s a brainchild of the late Kato Lubwama. It will be staged this weekend at Kampala Serena Hotel’s Katonga Hall.
