"Been battling a lot [and] depressed a lot. I wanna focus on my mental health for sometime [and] recover."
The break comes on the back of his concert that was disrupted by rainfall which lasted almost the whole of day time, hindering revelers from showing up.
The TV personality-cum-singer hosts a periodical event called Panda TurnUp that targets young people, a market he has grown through presenting a show on NTV Uganda that targets high school going teenagers.
His recent event performed poorly due to rains and it was a good weekend, considering students had just returned from school for holidays.
"My people, been trying to find better words I can use following a huge disappointment I got on my event #PandaTurnUp last Saturday because of the heavy rains that started from 11am to 4:30pm [and] damaged some speakers [and] also sabotaged the whole event," he said in a statement, explaining why the event didn't go as planned.
According to Panda, "the event was meant to end at 6pm" but the rains stopped one hour and 30 minutes towards the end of the event.
It is not "what I expected but life is like that," reads the statement. "You WIN or Lose... it's hard to fight nature... being a true believer in God, I had nothing to do but to instead just leave everything in his hands."
It should also be recalled that in June 2020, the crooner lost his newborn daughter Aylin Danah Nakyanzi.
In the WhatsApp statement, Panda said those who need him will have to contact him via the messaging service or go to his work station at the Kampala Serena Hotel-based NTV Uganda.
Meanwhile, the 'Ndaba Bulabi' singer is expected to hold another edition of Panda Turn on December 10 at Hockey Grounds Lugogo in Kampala.
