“It's gonna be a high-energy performance show, it will be just good music, great entertainment and an overall organized concert,” said Nameless, real names David Mathenge, at a press conference ahead of the big show.
Organized by Comedy Store Uganda and produced by Fenon Events, the Kololo concert is a fundraiser for the philanthropic work being done by Comedy Store.
It also mark’s the return of the Tanzanian star to Uganda, since 2019.
“It's been a while since I was here and Uganda to me is like my home. My kids are from here,” Diamond told the press at Mestil Hotel.
“Besides the entertainment, the fact that the event is about giving back to the community, for me, is something very special. I wanna make my East Africans happy.”

A long list of Ugandan artists have been lined up for the concert, led by new kid on the block Alien Skin. Others include King Saha, Spice Diana, Zex Bilangilangi, Winnie Nwagi and Carole Kasita.
There will also be acts from Teacher Mpamire, Bozonto, DJ Suuna Ben,Abeeka Band and many more.
Away from the show, Diamond announced other projects he’ll be working on including a new song by Spice Diana as well as a video shoot.
At the press conference, he also spoke of his great admiration for Ugandan artists such as Diana herself, Eddy Kenzo and legend Jose Chameleone, his favorite.
“Jose Chameleone… I respect him so much; it is unfortunate that we don’t have a song together yet, but I would love to have a song with him. It would be one of my dreams because he’s my role model and the type of music he does is my favorite.”
