Douglas Lwanga: How I met Lindah Lisa

During his time at Record TV, Lwanga narrated a story reported by Red Pepper about Lisa's split with her then-boyfriend.

"And then I go on air and I narrate the story," he said, adding that Lisa was displeased with his comments and came to the studio with her friend Nisha Bridgette, former manager of Slick Stuart and Roja, and currently Jamal's manager.

"They come together to start a fight," he recalled.

Lwanga explained how he got the story, apologised, and as they talked, they eventually became friends and opened up to each other.

Douglas Lwanga described his journey with Lindah Lisa as smooth. They have been together for about 13 years and share two sons.

In 2022, Lisa addressed their relationship, saying, "People will always talk. But sometimes you remind them that even if you talk, I like what I'm doing... I was prepared for it. No word will kill my marriage... I came determined... We've not wedded, what you people want... A ring doesn't define marriage... literally I have been married for 11 years... I have been with him for 11 years, what's new? There is nothing new. We've done everything. You've talked about it all. We've heard it all. We have no pride... You won't change us."

Besides raising children together, the couple has successfully partnered in business, combining their talents in media and marketing.
