Kenzo confirmed the development during Eid al-Fitr celebrations at Comedy Store during his stage performance.

The development comes after the Byansi singer recently revealed that he had son on top of his two known daughters.

When he was recently asked to talk about how he felt when Nyamutoro was named a minister in the recent cabinet reshuffle, he said: "It's a good feeling to see a friend achieving big promotions. Someone you know being appointed a minister, it's a good feeling."

Kenzo was Nyamutoro’s plus-one on the auspicious occasion of her inauguration as the new Minister of State for Energy and Mineral Development in charge of minerals.

The youthful minister was sworn in along with the other new cabinet appointees. The event was presided over by Chief Justice Alphonse Owiny-Dollo and witnessed by President Yoweri Museveni at State House Entebbe.

After taking her oath, Nyamutoro savored a photo moment with Kenzo and the President. Taking to social media, Kenzo once again congratulated his supposed “close friend” Nyamutoro on the new milestone.

“It's such a joy to witness your swearing in as the Minister of State for energy and mineral development (Minerals),” he posted.

Reports would emerge on how Nyamutooro has been part of Kenzo’s music career, at least in the recent few years.

The youthful legislator from West Nile was reportedly one of the front persons at the Eddy Kenzo music festival at the Kololo Independence Grounds.

The concert took place on November 12, 2022, and was a huge success given the sheer number of people that attended, nearly filling up the vast ground.

Kenzo memorably addressed a press conference days after the festival, where he broke down in tears as he thanked his fans for showing up.

It is understood that Nyamutoro, who then was only a freshman legislator representing youths in parliament, was a key part of the machinery that put the show together.

According to reports, Nyamutoro was in charge of many aspects of the festival including gate collections and logistics.

In a radio interview late last year, Nyamutoro admitted to having known and worked with Kenzo at a professional level for a long time.

She has also used her position in government to push his interests including the law on copyright, which he has been lobbying for through his Uganda National Musicians Federation.
