According to Kenzo, one day he found the duo at Speke (he didn't specify which one) as they were trying to hire a cab and he offered to drop them at their place.
On arrival, the Practical hitmaker said, the girls invited him and the colleague he was with to their apartment to give them something to drink.
He said he was surprised to find the cameras in the house but they told him it was okay.
"We thought they had installed them themselves, maybe for protection," said Kenzo while speaking to Gagamel TV.
Kenzo's revelation comes hot on the heels of allegations that the girl group had run away from Theron Music, the ambitious record label founded by David Kalemera.
Among claims made against Kalemera is that he had installed cameras to spy on the girls. While some say it was a measure to counter their misbehaving, others say he had set draconian rules for the girls.
The duo also had a van that was bought to transport them, so it's quite strange that Kenzo found them trying to use a taxi. Maybe it had mechanical issues!
Neither Kalemera nor the girls have come out to clarify what exactly is going on, but it is said things went south in November 2023, just some three months after the launch of their Extended Play titled Call It Love.
The duo released an enterprising mini-album made by some of the best producers, video directors, and writers in the country.
On the EP, Nessim produced Katono, Onsanze Ndaba, Sweet Love (featuring Banana Classic), and Matatu (featuring B2C, alias Kampala Boys).
Aaronaire directed the filming of Katono while the visuals of Onsanze Ndaba were made by Darlington.
The duo tapped Artin Pro for the production of Pose (featuring Fik Fameica). Pro collaborated with Eli Akhis to make the beats for Binkolelele, which was written by Dokta Brain.
Wax filmed the video of Pose while that of Binkolele was made by Mastermind Laray.
Anel Tunes mixed & mastered Sweet Love, Oliwamu, Binkolele and Wolan (featuring Country Wizzy).
Wolan was produced by Eli Arkhis and written by Yese Omani Rafiki.
Oliwamu was produced by Magic Washington. This was co-written by Kataleya & Kandle and Dokta Brain.
Kandle, real name Rebecca Robins Nabatuusa, and Kataleya, real name Hadiijah Namakula, met through a mutual friend on the latter's birthday.
They initially teamed up to hawk clothes until they met Producer Ronnie on Dis One who recorded for them a demo that they used to impress Theron Music.
Their first hit song was Do Me, but I didn't become one until after a month. Before Do Me, they had released Muziba wa Love followed by Tonafuya, both also recorded while under the management of Theron Music.
