Businessman Emmanuel Lwasa has finally addressed the viral video where he is seen hugging a stunning young woman. Known for his reputation as a womaniser, the footage sparked speculation among netizens who assumed the Masaka-born tycoon had found a new flame.

However, Lwasa, speaking in a media interview, clarified that the clip was from a scene in a film they are both involved in. The businessman, who is currently single, expressed concern over the impact of the rumours on the young lady, noting that she has parents who might have been hurt by the speculation. Interestingly, he claimed not to know the woman’s name despite working alongside her in the film.
"I hate women," Lwasa declared bluntly. "They chucked me, and I dumped them back. I don’t like them."
Lwasa further explained that he was unaware the video would be released separately before the entire film was out. Earlier in March, he revealed that he had ventured into acting, joining a production company called Zenji Studios, and is already part of a television series called Game of Luck.
This is not the first time the tycoon has made controversial statements about women, only to seemingly contradict himself later. At the beginning of this year, Lwasa vowed to stop dating attractive women after being disappointed by his past relationships.
“I feel now that if I can get myself an ugly woman, but one that’s hard-working, I would be good to go,” he said at the time. “Beautiful women are full of problems… I have always had a weakness for beautiful women. When I see a good-looking woman, I tend to forget about anything else.”
“I always thought that I could change the women and make them better, but it seems it is not possible. They will pretend for one month and then go back to their original selves,” he lamented.
In the same interview, Lwasa recounted how his ex-girlfriend, Angel Kwakunda, used to steal money from him. “If I came home with Shs. 5 million, she’d search the whole house the moment I went to sleep,” he revealed. Kwakunda was reportedly thrown out of her marital home in Mityana in 2022 by Lwasa’s elder children.
Lwasa defended his children's actions, claiming they were right to evict her because she was not a suitable partner.
