Known for anchoring news and hosting popular shows, Nakazibwe’s exit left many heartbroken. It was later revealed that she had left the Nation Media-owned station to prepare for the birth of her child.

Nakazibwe had been the heart and soul of Mwasuze Mutya, a show she helped popularise. Following her departure, Ruth Kalibbala temporarily filled in before Stella Nante took over as the new permanent host.

Faridah's journey in media began with WBS TV, owned by businessman Gordon Wavamunno. She secured her role at WBS with a little help from her connections; former finance minister Gerald Ssendaula, a family friend, introduced her to Wavamunno. Reflecting on this early break in her career, Nakazibwe said in an interview, "I got the job even before graduation. God helped me, my dad was well-connected, and one of his friends was friends with Sir Gordon Wavamunno."

Before starting at WBS, Nakazibwe, a mass communication graduate from the Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU), briefly worked at Hotel Brovad in Masaka, owned by another family friend, Hajat Sarah Nabukalu Kiyimba. Despite being told her voice was too young for television, she began her career at WBS as a news reporter, a role she embraced wholeheartedly.

Nakazibwe's determination paid off when Wavamunno himself directed her supervisors to assign her to traffic updates. Her report on Wavamunno being stuck in a traffic jam due to a muddy road prompted local leaders to take action, showcasing the power of media. Wavamunno’s response was telling: “You see why I started a TV? It’s a very powerful tool,” he reportedly said.

After a year and a half at WBS, Nakazibwe moved to NTV Uganda, which was expanding its team. She joined NTV in 2006, where she applied her skills as both an editor and reporter, eventually becoming one of the station's most recognisable personalities.

Beyond her media career, Nakazibwe pursued further education, earning a Master’s in Business Administration from Victoria University in September 2023.

Born on August 18, 1984, in Sembabule district to the late Shakib Ssenyonjo and Sarah Ssenyonjo, Nakazibwe’s early education saw her attend Kisozi Boarding Primary School in Gomba district and Bwala Primary School in Masaka. She later joined Taibah High School in Kawempe.

Nakazibwe's story is one of determination, leveraging opportunities, and evolving in a dynamic media landscape while maintaining a strong connection to her roots.
