Gen. Kainerugaba appointed Lt. Col. Chriz Magezi to head the media entities.
Senior Presidential Advisor on Special Operations Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba announced Thursday that the MK Movement, which he heads, will soon unveil a television and radio station.

"The MK Movement will open our own TV and Radio Station soon," Gen. Kainerugaba tweeted.
"Lt. Colonel Chris Magezi, appointed General Manager of MK TV and Radio. I'm confident he will do an excellent job."
Lt. Col. Magezi, who is the director of Information at the UPDF Land Forces, quoted the tweet announcing his appointment and said: "I am profoundly honoured by the appointment General, and the trust and confidence you have in me. I will give my very best, always."
Lt. Michael Katungi, the commissioner of External Affairs for the MK Movement, congratulated Lt. Col. Magezi.
"Congratulations able @ChrisOMagezi," he tweeted.
President Yoweri Museveni promoted Lt. Col. Chris Magezi to his current rank in January 2022.
Magezi, who is also the director of information in the office of Senior Presidential Advisor on Special Operations, had concluded the Advanced Command and Staff Course, and MA Defence Studies program at the UK’s Joint Services Command and Staff College (JSCSC).
He also sits on the Board of Directors of Uganda Broadcasting Corporation (UBC), following his appointment in 2019.
Meanwhile, Gen. Kainerugaba said he had appointed Lillian Aber as the National Vice Chairperson of the MK Movement for Northern Uganda.
"She is also automatically a member of the Central Committee of the MK Movement," he tweeted. Aber is the Woman Member of Parliament (MP) for Kitgum District.
Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba reiterated that he will be joining the presidential race in 2026. He also noted that on day one of administration the MK Movement will “bring order to the mayhem that is Kampala.”
