Gravity exercises self-restraint as he talks about Bobi Wine, Bebe Cool

Gravity Omutujju was modest with his comments as he spoke about why Bobi Wine and Bebe Cool didn’t attend his show.

After his 2022 concert, Omutujju was frank and candid as he lashed out at the trio of Jose Chameleone, Wine and Cool, also known as The Big Three, for not endorsing and attending his concert.

This time he was self-restraining, probably because Chameleone performed at the show and Wine endorsed it.

"He is busy,” he said of Bebe Cool not showing up. “He is also busy... do you know how many didn't show up? People are upcountry doing shows, others are in Purple Party. Musicians are working.”

Some observers have noted that Gravity is reserved because he now subscribes to the Uganda National Musicians Federation where Cool and Chameleone belong and he wouldn’t want to sabotage the likely benefits. Cool is a leader in the Federation and Gravity has already reaped some benefits for being a member.

Asked to comment on Bobi Wine choosing Navio over him, he said: "It's good. That's his longtime friend. He has to give him a drop and encourage him... t's good that he endorsed my show... a lot of people would want him to support them but they fail to get that chance... he has a huge following. If you get a chance and he posts you, that's a big acheivement.”

He, however, noted that his endorsement isn’t the reason his show was successful.

"My fans were to come... Didn’t they come last time?” he said.

Bobi Wine recently endorsed Zex Bilangilangi’s concert and the turn-up wasn’t high.
