Dr. Ssebunya said that they only did an introduction event but the wedding ceremony was never held.
He said: "We only held the introduction ceremony. The wedding party has to be held. And in a short time, you'll hear of the wedding date... we continue to ask God to give us a good life."
Namakula, who is professionally known as Rema, introduced Dr. Hamza Ssebunya to her relatives in November 2019 in a ceremony held in Nabbingo on Masaka Road.
Businessman Godfrey Kirumira, who was the chairman of the introduction ceremony, said in April that they are planning a wedding.
He said they'll spare no expense, adding that the couple's relationship is growing stronger.
"Their love grows stronger every day. I've never seen that kind of love," he said.
Meanwhile, Kirumira also revealed that Namakula could be pregnant because she had been vomiting a lot lately.
"My daughter Rema vomits a lot these days," he said. "You may see another child soon."
Neither Rema nor Dr. Ssebunya has talked about the pregnancy.
During a recent media interview, Rema said she's ready to have as many children as God wills.
Singer Rema Namakula and Dr. Ssebunya welcomed their first child, Aaliyah Ssebunya, on November 7, 2021.
Meanwhile, Dr. Ssebunya was asked why he hangs out with rich older people a lot.
He said: "I want to be around people who challenge me. Someone who challenges me... Most of the time I want to be around people older than me because I know the life experiences can be tapped into.
"When you are challenged, you leave the comfort zone."
He spoke to the media during the wedding of businessman Paul Ssembatya and Milly Nakibala.
