Slated for September 2, at the Kampala Sheraton, the concert is taking place on the same date as Gravity Omutujju’s “Okwepicha concert" which is at Lugogo Cricket Oval.
Asked about the simultaneous scheduling, Navio said he announced his concert first, back in March.
“I announced it in March and put the posters up. Even people from his (Gravity) team reached out and congratulated me,” Navio said.
On whether he would consider a single-stage battle with the “Okwepicha” singer, Navio said he has already tried in vain.
“My management reached out to him for a battle and he backed out,” said the former Klear Kut boss.
“I don't think he got scared because he's big, but I think it's because he has his own lane and I have my own.”
His show at Sheraton, Navio said, is to thank his fans who have been with him over the past two decades.
“It's been quite a long journey; I want to thank all the fans for supporting us and I want to do this one more time for you,” Navio said.
“Some people are calling it my last show, others say it is my first; I don't know… but I want everyone to be there.”
Navio traveled to the US back in June, where he took part in a number of shows and activities including the just concluded BET Awards in Los Angeles.
The Uganda rapper also had performances at the "Vibes of the East" in Atlanta, and multiple others in Chicago and Boston.
