"Social media is not my thing... I'm happy with my husband. That's why we didn't respond," she said, referring to reports that the couple that wedded in 2016 had divorced.
Jalia Vivienne Chebet dismissed rumours that she's on bad terms with her husband, Sulaiman Kabangala Mbuga whom she calls Haji.

"People were concocting stories. Everyone has life challenges. I'm okay. I know who my husband is. We saw the gossip and just laughed away. It's all noise created by people with ill motives. People are so sad that they don't want to see others happy. When they see me with Haji [Mbuga]... I think... I don't know... people are sad.... Me and Haji are fine. We are very fine."
Chebet was speaking to newsmen who attended her birthday celebrations at the newly-opened B-Club located at Garden City in Kampala.
"Forever 20, I am a woman. We never say our age," she said, laughing when a reporter inquired about her age.
She said the event was important because life experiences have given her all the reasons to.
"We are back because Covid cases have reduced. Life is too short, guys. We live every day. We die only once. So, why not?" she emphasised.
"I thank God for the gift of life. I am healthy, my kids are healthy, my husband is healthy... My sisters, my friends... I'm so happy. I'm just so happy. Who am I to be here?... I've everything on the table."
Mbuga and Chebet married in a lavish wedding in 2016 and they have three kids together.
Mbuga has occasionally been accused of domestic violence and cheating on her. Mbuga did not attend her birthday.
