Dancehall musician Carol Kasita, popularly known as Karole Kasita, broke her silence for the first time since delivering her firstborn.

Kasita started 2023 with a bang, welcoming her first child, a baby boy. This reporter has learnt that she delivered the baby from Kampala Hospital.

Kasita is yet to reveal the father of the child though it's believed it's the rapper Frank Mukiisa, better known as Feffe Bussi, who sired the child with her two days ago.

Rumours about their romance started making rounds when audio messages leaked to the public that the two were planning to get married.

Numerous calls by this reporter to both Bussi and Kasita to seek comment went unanswered.

Kasita took to Facebook on Friday afternoon to post: "Thank you God", adding a baby emoji.

Kasita also had a successful past year musically, releasing an extended play (EP) with 11 songs on August 11, 2022.

The eleven tracks on the album are ‘Muhammad Ali’, ‘You’, ‘Chekecha’, ‘Imagine’, ‘Nze Amulina’, ‘Tubidemu’, ‘Body Body’, ‘Mbeelamu’, One Life’, ‘Nywamu (Party Anthem)’ and ‘Wabula’.

Some of the musicians she featured on the album dubbed Limited Edition are Bussi himself, Arrow Bwoy, Fik Fameica, Brian Weiyz, Dj Maker and Eddy Kenzo.

She broke through the main music industry in 2018 with her hit single Yaka, and she has become a popular figure, especially for her astounding energetic stage performances.

While Kasita writes most of her songs, she has previously hired local talent in Ray Signature, Fyno, and Geosteady to write for her.

Last year she revealed that she is planning to hold a host this year.
