Kasuku: Weasel's concert is just nostalgia, no career revival in sight

Media personality Kasuku believes Weasel Manizo is still far from rejuvenating his music career, and holding a concert will not help.

According to the controversial YouTuber, who spoke to his counterpart Jaxta, the show Weasel is set to host will only allow fans to reminisce about the good old days of Radio and Weasel.

"There's nothing exceptional that will come out of Weasel's show. We're just going back to relive the good times, that's all," said Kasuku, whose real name is Isaac Daniel Katende. He added that the concert is essentially "saying goodbye to Weasel."

"There's nothing he's going to add after that show," he continued.

Kasuku noted that Weasel hasn't done much since the death of Mowzey Radio six years ago, and his current state doesn't allow him to progress.

He pointed out that Weasel has failed to produce a song that makes him stand out as a solo artist.

Weasel is set to hold a concert, dubbed Memories of Goodlyfe, at Hotel Africana on August 2.

Several celebrities, including Eddy Kenzo, Spice Diana, and Catherine Kusasira, have spoken about Weasel's mental health, revealing that Radio's death took a serious toll on him.

Although he has been releasing music and collaborating on duets, none have had the same impact as his songs with Radio.

Weasel Manizo started his music career in high school when he recorded his first album with the help of his brother Jose Chameleone, selling it to businessman Kasiwukira for Shs2.5 million.

His first big song was Bomboclat, a track by Jose Chameleone that he featured on. His life changed significantly when he met Mowzey Radio.
