The party was attended, interestingly, by Mirembe’s mother Rema Namakula, her current husband Dr Hamza Ssebunya and their daughter Amaal.
Eddy Kenzo has opened up on the birthday fete he threw for his daughter Maya Mirembe which created a lot of buzz in the media.

Also present was Kenzo’s fiancé and State Minister for Minerals, Fiona Nyamutoro.
Photos of the two families coming together were positively received online with the couples being showered with praises for displaying the highest level of maturity.
Speaking for the first time about the celebration, Kenzo said he decided to invite the Ssebunyas because they are “part of the family.”
Leading by example
“It was a birthday, we and we called the family (of Maya) and when you call the family, they all have to be there,” he said.
“When you look at the time that Rema spent with Maya, and Maya of course is Amaal’s sister… everybody had to be there and it's not bad.”
Kenzo said he did this as a leader, to show that life is not always about fights.
"It is humanity and that his how life is supposed to be,” he remarked in an interview with Noordeen Ntege.
“I think this is the right image I am supposed to paint.”
Amaal Musuuza turned 13 years old on September 28th.
