Lydia Jazmine roasted after attaching controversial pics to new year message

Lydia Jazmine came under fire after netizens interpreted as thirst traps the two photos she attached to a post thanking her fans for their support in 2023.

"... This industry is not for the weak-hearted. I want to thank... all my fans, the media, and all the music stakeholders for standing and holding me up with your support. If it weren’t for you the brand Lydia Jazmine would have been weakened!!" reads part of the post shared on X in which she attached two photos that leave little to the imagination on her upper body.

She also reminded her fans of her upcoming March 1 concert that will be held at Hotel Africana in Kampala.

"Thank you for loving our beautiful music. I can’t believe my ears whenever am performing, you sing word by word. Last year gave me the courage and confidence to make the long-awaited decision [to stage] my first-ever maiden concert due to take place early this very year (1st March Africana). My former managements were not confident enough about my brand to make such decisions in the past years for reasons well-known to them, but now here we’re."

While most netizens took no issue with the written part of the message, they wondered about the relevance of the somewhat nude pictures.

"These pictures would be appropriate for a breast cancer awareness campaign or no bra day…not appreciating your fans or God," one of the commenters observed.

Another said: "Mukwano, you’re 33yrs old."

Some commenters were not impressed by the person who edited the pictures.

"1st of all, the photo editor needs to be arrested," reads a commenter.

Another goes: "If you want to post breasts, post them in peace. This is a very terrible editing job for photos accompanying an exceedingly shitty post. Naye genda mumaaso, your fans..."

Meanwhile, Lydia Jazmine later noted that she is no longer bothered by such comments.
