Mayanja family ‘banned’ from Clever J concert

His much-talked-about concert dubbed “The Return of Clever J: Eddogo Lyafuluka" is going down this evening at the Lugogo KCCA Grounds.

The singer, real names Gerald Muwonge spent the past few days rallying fans to come to the show and hopes they won't let him down.

On Tuesday this week, the ‘Binyuma Bitya’ singer even took to the streets in downtown Kampala to vend concert tickets.

As it turns out, however, some people are not invited to the concert.

The show organizers Abby Musinguzi (Abitex) and Andrew Mukasa alias Bajjo said last evening at a pre-event press conference that Joseph Mayanja aka Jose Chameleone and the entire Mayanja family are not welcome to the show.

“If you want to see my true colors, let me find Chameoelone or Pallaso or Weasle at the show,” said Abitex.

“If you are a member of the Mayanja family, please don't step into this place

“Whether you are a son or a grandson, don't come here. You have caused so much trouble in this business; the people are tired of you.”

Clever J, a relative of the Mayanjas fell out with the family, as his music career dipped.

He accused the music family of abandoning him in his music struggles.

In a recent interview, Clever J. said sometime back he went with his manager to visit Pallaso and they were treated with aversion.

"There's a time I visited Pallaso with my former manager MP Jesus and Pallaso told him that Clever J fell off and you've brought him here to look for a way up again," said J.

The Mayanja family is also not at the best of times with Clever J’s buddy Alien Skin following his May 30, spat with Pallaso.
