Over 6,000 submissions received for NRG talent search

NRG Radio Uganda has wrapped up the submission phase for its highly anticipated #BeastMVPs talent search, receiving an impressive total of over 6,000 applications. The campaign, designed to identify and nurture the next generation of media talent in Uganda, closed its application window on Sunday, July 28, 2024. The overwhelming response came through various channels, including the station's website and social media platforms, highlighting the immense interest and excitement surrounding the initiative.

The #BeastMVPs campaign, hosted by 106.5 NRG Radio Uganda, is a unique talent search aimed at discovering outstanding individuals in the media sector. The initiative attracted a diverse pool of applicants, eager to showcase their talents and secure a place in Uganda's dynamic media industry.

The submissions included aspiring radio presenters, DJs, MCs, social media managers, content creators, and podcasters, all vying for the opportunity to join the esteemed team at NRG Radio Uganda.

With the submission phase concluded, the focus now shifts to the selection process. Starting today, Monday, July 29, 2024, a dedicated jury will begin the task of reviewing each application. The judges will carefully assess the submissions to identify the most promising candidates. The top 106 applicants will be shortlisted and announced live on air on 106.5 NRG Radio, as well as on the station's social media platforms and official website, nrgug.radio, on Wednesday, August 7, 2024.

These shortlisted candidates will move on to participate in a live physical audition, a crucial stage that will test their skills, creativity, and on-air presence. The audition will help determine which contestants advance to the next group stage, bringing them closer to the ultimate prize—a lucrative employment contract with NRG Radio Uganda.

The winners of the #BeastMVPs talent search will not only secure a position at 106.5 NRG Radio Uganda but will also receive professional international training.
