Singer Alien Skin is taking heat from fans and fellow musicians after he put out an ill-advised rendition of a gospel song, wherein he praises Satan.

In the video which he shared some time last month, Skin can be heard singing “Yansumulula,” a famous traditional worship song of the Born-Again Pentecostal Church.
But in the line where it says “I give thanks to Jesus for setting me free,” Skin gives his thanks instead to Satan himself.
The video is still up on the singer’s social media accounts.
Among the people who came out to condemn the “Binyuma” singer, was Pastor Bugembe of Worship House Nansana, who yesterday, Wednesday cautioned him “never to repeat such a mistake.”
“He must know that most of his fans don't like Satan. Many of them might be out there doing crazy things but when they go home in the evening, they kneel down and pray,” Bugembe said.
“I ask the fans to forgive him, but he should ever do it again; this should be the last time.”
Bugembe, while addressing press, theorized that the break-out singer might have been “too excited” at his newly found fame, when he put out the blasphemous song.
“We have all been there, although some of us did not reach the point of glorifying Satan.
"He has achieved so much in a short period of time; nowadays even just talking about him you have to be careful; he is like a hot flat iron.
“But I just want to tell him that Satan has nothing good to offer to him; he is a thief and a killer.
“I have seen his interviews; he is an intelligent man and he’s talented, but no one who served Satan has succeeded," remarked Bugembe.
Skin has not offered any explanation yet for the controversial video.
