He requested Babie to find the song so he could play it for his wife. Unbeknownst to Bina Babie, the song titled "Nkwagala Nyo" was by Iryn Namubiru, and it had just been released around 2009. Babie also mentioned that she once used the song to seduce a man.
Iryn Namubiru's music has influenced many notable individuals, including former Vice President Prof. Gilbert Bukenya. Bukenya donated Shs10 million after Namubiru sang a song in honour of his mother.
Namubiru, a longtime friend of the former vice president, said she initially did not expect any payment and received the money as a thank-you.
She had only asked for funds to pay Paddy Man, who produced the song, Nince Henry, who wrote it, and the crew that filmed the music video.
In 2022, Bukenya spoke about how the song came about: "Iryn loved my mother a lot. She even visited her frequently in the six months before her death. She sang the song because she saw me supporting my mother, who was in a wheelchair and couldn't walk.
"I was helping her exercise to regain some energy. Iryn told me, 'You love your mom,' and I replied, 'There is nothing I love more than my mother.' And that's how the song came about. I love it a lot. I haven't seen her in a while, but I know she is out there, and I pray she stays safe."
The song is titled "Nabulo," the last name of Bukenya's mother, Francisca Nabulo, who passed away in 2012 at the age of 87.
